Come learn about the Sandbox!
The Westchester Sandbox Theatre was opened in November of 2008 and is owned and operated by Daniel Ferrante and Jason Summers.
The Sandbox operates year-round, offering shows, camps, and classes to all young performers, from kindergarten through high school. We give young performers a chance to shine and share their love of performance with their peers and their families.

Why we do what we do!
At the Sandbox Theatre, we believe in encouraging children to pursue their passions.
Our performers benefit in many ways from their time at the Sandbox...
- Build Confidence: Performing in front of others gives children courage and self-confidence. They learn how to command attention and to speak clearly and persuasively.
- Practice Empathy: Theatre encourages performers to look at the world from different perspectives. They step into someone else's mind to practice improving their understanding of others and themselves. Theatre helps children improve their emotional intelligence.
- Make New Friends: We create an ideal atmosphere for children to build lifelong friendships. Help your child practice working in a team while building new relationships with their peers!
- Think Creatively: We encourage our campers to think outside the box and be creative. Children will learn what it takes to put on a show and practice creative expression in a number of different ways.
- Build Discipline: Our children's theatre program helps teach and to build discipline. We follow a structured plan at every rehearsal, class and camp day.

We maintain a positive, comfortable and constructive environment for children of all ages to grow as actors and as people. The Sandbox will always be grateful to the people who come out and support live theater in the community and we look forward to entertaining and educating people of all ages for years to come!
