The Sandbox Theatre's winter season brings three magical productions to Mamaroneck, NY, offering young performers from kindergarten through eighth grade the opportunity to participate in professional-quality musical theatre. We are proud to continue our tradition of providing comprehensive theatrical training through full-scale productions. Each show is designed to accommodate different age groups and skill levels, ensuring that every participant receives age-appropriate instruction and performance opportunities. The winter lineup features multiple cast options across all productions, allowing for smaller cast sizes and more individualized attention. Auditions begin in November and December, with performances scheduled throughout early 2026.
Disney's Freaky Friday - The Musical for Tweens
Grades 5-8 | Six Casts Available
Production Details:
- Auditions begin November 10, 2025
- Weekly rehearsals lasting three hours each
- Performances scheduled January 28 - February 7, 2026
- Six separate casts accommodate more participants
The tween age group allows for more complex character development and vocal challenges, making this production ideal for middle school students ready to tackle sophisticated material.
The Wizard of Oz for Kids
Grades 2-5 | Five Casts Available

The Wizard of Oz for Juniors
